Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Liko! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Liko mobile application ("App," "Service," or "Liko"). By downloading, installing, or using Liko, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Liko, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor (your child), you accept these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use of the App.

2. Description of Service

Liko is a baby tracking and parenting assistance application that allows parents and caregivers to:

Track baby sleep patterns, nursing sessions, pumping sessions, bottle feedings, and diaper changes
Log solid foods and keep a record of foods already tried
Record body temperature readings and medicine doses
Monitor baby growth and development milestones
Access parenting articles, baby food recipes, and age-appropriate play ideas
View reports and charts about your baby's routines
Share a baby's records with a partner or caregiver you invite, and revoke that access
Play soothing sounds, and see the current status on a home screen widget
Receive reminders and alerts, scheduled locally on your device
Use Live Activities to track ongoing sessions

Liko keeps your entries on your device and syncs them to our servers, so most of the App keeps working while you are offline.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of Liko, you must create an account, either with an email address and password or through Sign in with Apple. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct that we determine to be inappropriate or harmful to Liko or other users.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Premium Features

Liko offers premium subscription plans that provide access to additional features. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed in the App at the time of purchase.

4.2 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan)
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions through your Apple ID Account Settings

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not directly process refunds.

        Note: Free trial periods, if offered, will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
    

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or any systems or networks connected to the App
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or servers
Upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the App
Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
Impersonate any person or entity
Share your account credentials with others

6. User Content and Data

6.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you input into Liko, including baby profiles, tracking entries, and other personal information. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely to provide and improve the Service.

6.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter. Liko is not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate data entry.

6.3 Backup

While we implement measures to protect your data, we recommend maintaining your own backups. We are not liable for any data loss.

6.4 Sharing with Caregivers

Liko lets you invite another person to view and add entries for a baby. By sending an invitation you confirm that you are entitled to share that baby's information and that you have the consent of any other parent or guardian required to do so. A caregiver you invite can see the records for that baby, including health entries and photos. You may revoke access at any time, but we cannot recover or restrict information a caregiver already saw or copied while they had access, and entries they created remain part of the baby's history. Choose who you invite carefully.

7. Medical Disclaimer

        Important: Liko is intended for informational and record-keeping purposes only. It is not a medical device and must never be relied on in an emergency or to make a clinical decision. Features that let you log temperature readings or medicine doses are a written record for your own reference — the App does not check doses, does not warn you about interactions or dangerous readings, and does not alert anyone on your behalf. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your pediatrician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding your baby's health or development. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information obtained through Liko.
    

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

Liko and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by Liko and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

Liko integrates with third-party services to provide certain functionality:

Authentication, Database and Photo Storage: Supabase
Offline Storage and Sync: PowerSync
Crash Reporting: Bugsnag
Analytics and Session Recordings: PostHog
In-App Purchases: RevenueCat
Sign-In: Apple (Sign in with Apple)

Liko contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs. For details of what each service receives, see our Privacy Policy.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

We do not warrant that:

The App will function uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
The quality of any products, services, or information obtained through the App will meet your expectations
Any errors in the App will be corrected

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LIKO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the App
Any conduct or content of any third party on the App
Any content obtained from the App
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Liko and its licensees, licensors, employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Liko operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Liko regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
